Greensboro, NC: Doreen Platt Jones, 81, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM Sunday, August 4, 2013, at National Memorial Park, Lee Hwy, Falls Church, Virginia.
Doreen was born on Christmas day 1931 with her identical twin sister to the late Earle and Reta Shaw Platt in Michigan City, Indiana. She worked for the Chief Federal District Court Judge in Alexandria, VA for many years. Her favorite thing in life was her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her parents Doreen was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Gulick.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Eileen N. Roth (Ken) and Elaine J. Heinl (Chris); twin sister, Kathleen Bitzer; grandchildren, Will Neese, Mark Neese, Julie Neese, Virginia Heinl, and James Heinl (Keely); great grandchildren, Scarlett Ritchie; nephews, Scott Bitzer and Dean Gulick; and niece, Reta Yamarick.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
