1926-2015
Doug died on June 7th after a long illness. He had served in the U.S. Navy on a destroyer in the South pacific during WWII. When the war ended he started a plumbing business in Northern Virginia. He served as Secretary/Treasurer of the PHCC Association for 22 years then as the PHCC State President, and managed a Little League team for 12 years. Doug leaves his wife Lillian, a son Douglas and daughter Carole Stull, son-in-law Mark Stull, grandchildren Kristin Anderson and Bian Stull. He loved playing golf, reading novels, and in retirement was a volunteer at Algonquin Regional Park. We will miss him greatly. The interment will be at National Memorial Park, 7400 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia, June 12 at 10:30AM. A viewing will be held for friends and family on Thursday June 11 from 5PM to 8PM at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St., Falls Church, Virginia.
