

Elaine was born in Bishopville, South Carolina to Lillie Bell and Hampton Boykin, Sr. on August 16, 1960. She attended DC Public Schools, and graduated from Theodore Burdick Vocational School in Washington, DC.
Elaine entered the field of nursing, and successfully graduated from PTC Career Institute. Elaine served many years as a certified nursing assistant at Stoddard Baptist Nursing Home. She retired from National Rehabilitation Hospital. Later, she worked for several years in the field of childhood education as a teacher assistant at Eagle Academy Public Chartered School. No position Elaine held was “just a job”. Elaine was well known and respected for her strong work ethic, dedication, consistency, and eagerness to serve others – in any capacity and to the very best of her ability. Elaine had a passion for cleaning she cleaned houses, small businesses her church faithfully.
Elaine was involved in ministry for years she loved the Lord. Elaine was a member of Goodwill Baptist Church. She received many awards from Stoddard Baptist Nursing Home for her services for being one of the best nurses.
Elaine is preceded in death by her Mother (Lillie Boykin), Father (Hampton Boykin, Sr.), Sister (Lucile Boykin), and Nephew (Alonzo Boykin).
Elaine is survived by devoted daughters - Elaina Boykins (Anthony Boykins) and Dominique Thompson; siblings – Hampton Boykin, Sr., Johnny Boykin, Lillian Boykin, Anthony Boykin, and Gustina Boykin; grandchildren – Bobby Boykin (Maliyah Boykin), Maquan Boykin, Dominic Thompson, and Elijah Boykins. Her aunt Elizabeth McKintosh, Johnniemae Boykin, and Mickey Boykin. Her uncle Isaac Boykin, Herbert Boykin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin’s, relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Boykin, Johnny Boykin Jr., Andre’ Boykin, David Boykin, Quinn Kennedy, Ryan Clemmens, and Maquan Boykin
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 (Viewing 9am – 11am / Celebration of Life Service at 11am) at Not About Me Ministries 3106 Branch Avenue Temple Hills, Maryland 20748 with Arrangements are by Dignity Memorial National Funeral Home.
