Surrounded by family, on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, Esther Gitlin, of Rockville, MD, Born March 13, 1930 in Bronx, New York, sadly passed away. Devoted wife of 61 years to the late Elliott Gitlin; beloved mother of Bernard Gitlin and Carolyn (Dean) Cleaves; cherished grandmother of Haley, Peter, Alexandra, and Sofia; loving sister of Sander (Carolyn) Burstein. A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 10, 2013, 1 p.m. at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA. Family will be receiving friends following the service at the Gitlin/Cleaves residence.
