Frances H. Tate, 88, of Richmond, formerly of Shenandoah, Va., went to be with the Lord July 13, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leah and Adam Herndon; and her daughter, Donna Dow.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Russell E. Tate Sr.; her daughter, Shirley T. Rucker and her husband, Jim; her son, Russell E. Tate Jr. and his wife, Ann; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Janet Ballard.
The family would like to give a special thank you for the care given by the staff at Gayton Terrace.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, Va.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
