Herman (Chesty) Siegel, age 101, a lifelong Yankee fan passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 30, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Vivian Cohen; devoted father of Fern (Norman) Rubin, Susan Siegel Katz, Ira Siegel (Bonny Mower) and Marcie (John) McCauley; adoring Grandpa Chesty to Brian Rubin, Dana Miller, Mark (Claudine) Rubin, Rachel Paige Katz, Matthew (Fiancee Amanda), Jessica, and Michael McCauley; loving great grandfather of Lucy, Sophie, Jack and Justin. Loving friend and companion of 27 years, Elaine Goodfriend.
Funeral services and interment will be held at King David Memorial Gardens - Falls Church VA. on Sunday, February 3, at 11 AM. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the Herman Siegel Endowment Fund for Health and Fitness, JCC of Greater Washington, 6125 Montrose Road, Rockville, MD 20852. In mourning immediately following the service at the home of Marcie McCauley.
