Jackie was born February 10, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Peter F. Williams and Mabel E. Williams.
Jackie was a lifelong fan of baseball, being inaugurated at Ebbets Field with the Brooklyn Dodgers and continuing with the Nationals after they arrived in Washington, DC. Plus, there were many years in between spent watching Little League, Babe Ruth and High School baseball games from the stands. In addition, she was an avid card player as she engaged in several bridge groups with dear friends. She also was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining. Her true passion in life, though, was her family, most notably her parents, sister, two brothers, three sons and other close family members.
Jackie was a devoted follower of her Lord Jesus Christ and a member of the Church of the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Vienna, VA.
Jackie is survived by her sons James Scott of Farnham, VA, Kevin of Apex, NC, and Craig of Vienna, VA; daughters-in-law Susan, Mary Stuart, and Libbie; sister Joan D’Arcy of New Smyrna Beach, FL; three granddaughters Caroline, Sarah, and Allison; one niece and two nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends. She is preceded in death by son James Peter; brother Peter and twin brother James.
A service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 1pm at the Church of the Holy Comforter, 543 Beulah Road, NE Vienna, VA 22180. A reception will follow for all family and friends.
