Jeff was born on October 6, 1963 in Albany, NY and passed away on May 10, 2015. He is survived by his wife Terry, children Penny, Mitchell, Jeremy and Rachel, father Leonard Swartz, sisters Diane Fleishman, Debbie Cowan and her husband Steve, and a loving extended family. Jeff spent the majority of his childhood in Philadelphia, PA, where he became a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan. Jeff moved to the Washington DC area to attend American University, and remained in the suburbs of DC after college, working first at the Department of Navy, followed by the Environmental Protection Agency and finally at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Jeff also served in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel having served tours in Saudi Arabia, Bosnia and Iraq. Jeff truly enjoyed coaching his children’s youth sports teams and leading many Cub Scout events. Jeff was a devoted father and husband, and warm friend to all who crossed his path.
