On December 10th, John Guy Faulkner passed away at The Jefferson in Arlington, Virginia. John was a vivacious and dynamic soul who lived every day “one day at time.” Independent to his core in all things, he enjoyed an exciting life, filled with worldwide travels and tiny mementos from countries he visited. John grabbed every minute of life and lived it to the fullest. A graduate from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Ottawa, Canada, in 1969 he went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, in 1974, and his master’s degree from the University of Maryland.
He is survived by his youngest brother, Michael Faulkner, and Michael’s wife, Elizabeth Faulkner, as well as five nieces and nephews: Bryan Faulkner, Timothy Faulkner, David Naffin, Kara Bonvincin, and Stephanie Metcalf. He is also survived by his brother-in-law James Naffin and his sister-in-law Claudia Faulkner as well as two very close friends Gerald Yuille and Fernanda Fisher.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
