John was born on April 7, 1955, in Portsmouth, Virginia and grew up in Northern Virginia, where he would build the foundation of his life. He spent nearly 50 years in the automotive industry, dedicating himself to his work with consistency and integrity.
John shared 45 years of marriage with his wife, Karen S. Fleming. Together they raised three sons, Matthew and his wife Amber of Dothan, Alabama; Josh and his wife Samantha of Annandale, Virginia; and Nicholas and his wife Livia, of Apopka, Florida. His greatest joy was being “Gampa” to Emma, Olivia, Finn, and Thomas. He was a dedicated and supportive grandfather.
He is also survived by his brother, Alan Fleming, and his sister, Vernette Johnston.
More than anything, John valued his family. His life was marked by loyalty and a steady commitment to those he loved.
A private service was held to honor his life. Our family is grateful for the many kind messages and memories shared in his honor.
