Kenneth Eugene Umbel

Passed away on November 5, 2014 at the age of 74 with his wife and children by his side at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born on August 25, 1940 in Uniontown, PA to Merril Umbel and Else Frazee. Preceded in death by both of his parents; wife Carol Mavracic; one daughter, Anita Loveless; one nephew, Robbie Umbel, one brother, William Umbel; and two sisters, Kay Umbel and Sydle Sam.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Patricia Lease Umbel of Cissna Park, IL; step-son, Richard Lease of Round Beach, IL; daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Jack Miles of Woodbridge, VA; and Christine and Joe Carter of Vienna, VA; step-daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Tony Soucie of St. Anne, IL; brother and sister-in-law, David and Tishia Umbel of Warrenton, VA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Michael Loveless, Bryan and Jamie Loveless, and Kaitlin Loveless all of St. Albans, West Virginia; Joshua Carter of Vienna, VA and Brittany Carter of Louisa, VA; Jackson Miles, Madison Miles, and Allison Miles all of Woodbridge, VA; step-grandchild, Jaclyn Lease of Marengo, IL; great-grandchildren, Hunter Fishback and Levi Fishback; step-great-grandchild, Natalie Manzanares; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at Murphy Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA from 10:00am-1:00pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, with Funeral Services at 1:00pm. Burial will follow immediately at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Upperville, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made in Kenneth’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
