Passed away peacefully at her home at Ashby Ponds, Ashburn, VA on January 29, 2013 at the age of 90. Louise was preceded in death by her loving husband, James C. Hunter. She is survived by her elder son, William R., his wife Sandra and their daughter, Christy, of Richmond, VA; as well as her younger son, James C. Jr., his wife, Patricia and their son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Ashley, all of Northern VA.
Louise grew up in Paris, VA. After attending Mary Washington College, she moved to Northern VA where she was employed at the U.S. Weather Bureau and met her husband. She made a loving home for her husband and two boys. She was well known for her wonderful cooking and extraordinary pickles. Her kindness to neighbors and friends was beyond compare. One of her favorite joys in her later years was to be surrounded by family and friends at Capt. Pell's Crab House, where they shared stories and remembered good times.
A Memorial Service will be held at Ashby Ponds Retirement Community located at 21170 Ashby Ponds Boulevard, Ashburn, VA on Tuesday, February 5 at 12 noon. Interment will be private.
