Margaret Mary Lester Mackey

Died peacefully on January 1st, 2014 in Reston, Virginia. Born on May 1st, 1926 in Union City, New Jersey. Daughter of Edward and Helen Fisher Lester, grandaughter of Margaret Mary (Peggy) Dougherty Fisher and John J Fisher. Proceeded in death by her husband, William D Mackey ,dear brother's, Joseph Lester and John J Lester. Loving sister, Joan C. Silver, beloved son, Richard J Mackey, grandson, Daniel E Mackey and nephews Robert Silver and Johnny Lester.

Loving mother of William J Mackey, Moira M Schuster (Fredric), Conal P Mackey, Neil G Mackey, Brian J Mackey (Michelle), Bernadette M Gorman (Peter), Francis X Mackey, Helen T Mackey and John J Mackey.

Also survived by beloved grandchildren, Scott D, Matthew M and Michael S Schuster, Skylar E and Kyle Gorman, Christopher Mackey and Grady V Mackey and 3 great grandchildren, Olivia, Arianna and Holly. Also survived by cherished neices and nephews, Fr. James Silver, Thomas Silver, Kathleen Collins, Joni Boland, Timothy Silver, Paul Somerville, Michael Silver and Sharon and Kevin Lester.

Margaret, known as "Mary" graduated from St. Michael's High School in Union City, New Jersey in 1944. She received her nursing degree at St. Mary's Hospital school of Nursing in 1947. She was a member of St. Luke's Parish in McLean, Va. Interment at Madonna Cemetary, Fort Lee, New Jersey.
