Mary "Bride" Bridget Gutierrez

Mary Bridget “Bride” Gutierrez, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 5, 2019. She was born August 4, 1940 in Carbonear, Newfoundland to the late John and Mary Elizabeth Pumphrey. Predeceased by her sisters, Angela, Alice, Stella, Paula and brothers, Ed, John and Gerard. She married Javier Cesar “JC” Gutierrez on September 30, 1963 who preceded her in death in 2007. Bride and JC traveled with the Air Force before settling in Bryans Road, MD where they lived for 32 years. She was a resident of Herndon, VA at the time of her passing. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Noe Gutierrez (Kelli) of Swan Point, Maryland and grandsons, Brandon and Justin; her son Roy Gutierrez (Heather Powers) of White plains, South Carolina and granddaughter Gabrielle; her daughter Deborah Saba (Farhad) of Great Falls, Virginia and grandchildren, Farrin and Camron; her daughter Conni Bowling (Kevin) of Herndon, Virginia and grandchildren, Simon Cheng, Audrey and Hannah Bowling, and Lucien Cheng; her brother Kevin David Pumphrey (Sarah) and a host of nieces and nephews who she loved and touched deeply. A Visitation for Bride will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019 beginning at 3 pm with a celebration of life following at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. Bride will be laid to rest with her late husband, JC, at Cheltanham Veterans Cemetery in Maryland.
