

Maude Marie Jones was born on September 10th, 1939, in Loudoun County, Virginia, to Richard and Lucy Payne. She passed away on February 17th, 2025, at BrookStone Living Center in Pollocksville, North Carolina. Marie married the love of her life, Bobby Jones Sr., on April 8th, 1956, in Fairfax, Virginia. They spent 66 wonderful years together, full of love, family, and adventure.
Marie and Bobby founded B&M Auto Body on February 14th, 1969, in McLean, Virginia, where Marie managed the bookkeeping for 47 years. Marie and Bobby had several beautiful homes all in the Northern Virginia area, they are best known for their farm off Route 9 in Purcellville, where they enjoyed raising farm animals and racing horses. They also cherished their time at their condominium on the bay in Ocean City, Maryland, spending many summers fishing, boating, enjoying beach days, and creating memories with their family.
Marie was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was known for her warm hugs, gentle words, encouragement, and unwavering support. Marie is best remembered for her strong, unconditional love for her family. She had many hobbies, including collecting dolls, antiques, and teddy bears.
She was an avid Disney enthusiast and adored anything related to Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Marie was always impeccably dressed, with stylish clothes, perfectly styled nails, and hair. She enjoyed the Christmas holiday, loved decorating each year, baking cookies, and hosting family for Christmas dinner.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Bobby Gordon Jones Sr., on May 17th, 2022. She is survived by her mother, Lucy Payne of Falls Church, Virginia; two sons and two daughters: Bobby Jones Jr. of Summit Point, West Virginia; Casey Jones of New Bern, North Carolina; Debbie Thompson of New Bern, North Carolina; and Joyce Beans of Berryville, Virginia. She is also survived by her brother, Eugene Payne of Warrenton, Virginia; and her sister, Diane Kagle of Falls Church, Virginia. Additionally, she leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Marie will be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her legacy of love and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
