She was born November 30, 1940, in Lemont, Pennsylvania, the daughter of T. Guy and

of thirty-seven years, with whom she retired and traveled the world.

Nancy graduated from State College High School in 1959, after which she began her lifelong
career in bookkeeping and banking.
Nancy’s faith was the foundation for her life, as shown in her service at multiple churches as a
Sunday school teacher and treasurer, her love of volunteering through Lions Club activities, her
assistance in starting Full Circle Thrift Store of Culpeper, VA, and more recently her participation
in Rise Against Hunger. Wherever she was, she always looked for ways to assist those around
her; she had so much love and generosity, which left a lasting impact on numerous lives over
the years.
Nancy spread joy through her hobbies of crocheting blankets for family and many friends, as
well as donating crocheted scarves and blankets to multiple organizations in Winchester, VA.
For decades, Nancy spread her faith by passing out her handmade cross pins during global
travels and hospital visits. Her little-known hobby was her ability to write poems about the
events around her, her emotions, and her experiences. Her absolute favorite pastime was
enjoying moments spent with her loved ones; she found great joy in her frequent game nights,
family dinners, and parties.
Nancy’s greatest joy was her relationship with God and loving devotion to her family and friends.
“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
