Rita J Ramey

Rita was born in Lonaconing Maryland to John and Mary Catherine Green on November 10,1946. She married Van Hollis Ramey Sr. on August 31, 1968 in Lonaconing MD.

She worked as a Secretary to the Director for Smithsonian National Museum of American History for 32 years.

Rita was a devout member of the Catholic Church.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and sisters and her husband.

Rita is survived by children: Stephanie Baker and husband Jared, Van Ramey Jr. and wife Noelle Keller. Grandchildren: Presley Baker.

A visitation for Rita will be held Monday, September 9, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A funeral service officiated by St Mark Catholic Church, will occur Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A graveside service at national memorial park will occur Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A reception will occur Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
