

Bob was born and grew up in Woodland, California, and lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Anchorage, Alaska, as his father was in the Air Force. The family settled in Virginia, and Bob graduated in 1970 from George Mason University, B. A. in History.
After graduation Bob worked for over 30 years for Ritz Camera, Inc. in retail and administration. One of his proudest achievements was the creation of the Ritz Training Department for managers, and he very much enjoyed teaching in this program.
An accomplished photographer, he enjoyed devoting time to his lifelong love of photography since retiring several years ago. He also loved spending time at the beach at the Delaware shore.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Fruit, his son and daughter-in-law William and Eliza of Hilton, New York, his grandchildren Alec and Mary. In addition, he is survived by his sister Cathy Farrar, his niece Laura Ann Cox, and nephew James Farrar of Dayton, Ohio and their families.
A visitation will be held Friday April 12, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Saturday April 13, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at National Funeral Home 7482 Lee Highway Falls Church, VA. Funeral Services will be Saturday April 13, 2:00 pm at National Funeral Home. Burial to immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the American Diabetes Association.
