A button nose, friendly smile, and hearty laugh were the signatures of our loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandparent, and friend. Robert had many passions throughout his life: music, real estate, local sports teams, his loving family, and his many friends. As a young man he sang as part of a quartet that performed locally. He worked with the NSA until his entrepreneurial spirit led him to owning and running multiple businesses. He was a very active member of the Arlington Optimist Club where he enjoyed countless friendships and touched the lives of many.
Robert was well known as a devout family man, a caring soul, and a friend to all. He adored Louella, his wife of almost 45 years and true soul mate. His care and devotion to his beautiful daughter Heather was paramount throughout his life. She was the light in his eye from the second he laid his eyes on her. He also was the proud parent of Karin and David from his first marriage. He extended this passion and ultimate kindness to his three loving granddaughters, Madison, Amanda, and Ehma. He sincerely appreciated every aspect of the ‘best job in the world’, serving as fantastic ‘Opa’. He opened his arms and heart to his son-in-law, Eric, and always embodied warmth and importance of family.
As a family, we thank the lord for blessing us with the opportunity to share such amazing years of life with such a good man. He touched our hearts everyday, filled our lives with smiles, and our hearts with love. We will love and cherish every minute and memory of our husband, father, father-in-law, ‘Opa’, and friend.
