Sharon Ann Ferguson

Sharon Ann (Sebastian) Ferguson passed away on August 23, 2021, at Virginia Hospital Center surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. Born November 27, 1950, in Arlington, VA, Sharon was born to the late Richard David and Agnes Mary Sebastian. She was a loving mother and sister who had a zeal for life and was always up for a new adventure. Her vibrant personality, ability to find humor in any situation, and optimism in the face of adversity, naturally attracted those around her, creating life-long friendships. Sharon followed her passion to Virginia Commonwealth University where she graduated with an Art Degree, and later led the Graphics Department at the Government Accountability Office. One of her lifelong interests was buying, selling, and renovating real estate throughout the DC Metropolitan Area, and was always on-the-go with her bustling social calendar at Heritage Hunt. She is survived by her brother (Richard David Sebastian Jr.), daughter (Morgan Ferguson Myers) and son-in-law (Richard Elliott Myers), and son (Matthew Sebastian Ferguson), daughter-in-law (Melissa Anne Ferguson), and grandchildren (Camden Olivia and Bode Louis). The funeral service will begin at noon on Friday, September 3 at Murphy Funeral Home (1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046) with visitation scheduled from 10:00 to noon. The gravesite service will begin at 1:00 at the Columbia Gardens Cemetery (3411 Arlington Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22201). A reception will follow at the cemetery.
