Tom was born in New York on April 18, 1934 to Charles and Rose. He began his career working in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and eventually transferred to Washington, D.C. where he spent nearly 38 years working as an engineer for the Department of Defense. Tom had a passion for building houses and built many stately homes in the Langley area.
He was a parishioner of Saint John the Beloved in McLean and a founding member of the local chapter of the Knights of Columbus.
In 1957 he married his childhood sweetheart Dorothy Kowalczyk. Along with his loving wife, he is survived by his three daughters, Tracy, Tammy, and Toby, seven grandchildren, Thomas, Allison, William, Nicholas, Robert, Amanda, and Diane, and four great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to him.
Tom was an avid baseball fan and always supported the Yankees. His wry sense of humor was unmatched and appreciated by all who knew him. He loved to spend his time playing and coaching tennis and basketball, and relaxing at his second home in Melbourne Beach, Florida.
