Walt, it was an honor and a pleasure to know and work with you.  For the sixteen years I knew you, you lit up the office with your infectious laugh and big smile.  I miss our almost daily locker room conversations.  And don't forget those PSS and IND Christmas parties where you were a dancing machine.  You left us too soon.  Good  bye and God bless.

I know that your time with Walt have been rotàting through your mind and it is hard to deal with the pain. Try to hold onto the good times and the neverending joy that Walt brought to our lives.

Jennifer and Kate - I was fortunate to have worked in the same office with Walt over the years.  His positive energy and enthusiasm were contagious.  His presence will be greatly missed.  My deepest sympathies go out to both of you and  family/friends.

Walt, I will always remember all the good laughs we shared together in the office. You were truly such an admirable person and the ultimate professional at work. You will be in my heart forever.

So sad to hear of Rusty's passing.   I have great memories of him from high school.  He was a great guy and a lot of fun.  I am thinking of his family at this difficult time.  May he rest in peace.

Jen and Kate: Walt always had a smile on his face, as consistent in that as by his shorts regardless of the weather. He lit up the Kettler Rink every time he was there. And he loved you both so deeply. We will treasure our memories of him. Deepest condolences, Betsy, Jeff, Drew and Autumn

Jennifer and Kate, I worked with Walt daily and considered him a friend. Anytime my office chair was turned upside down and my desk was tossed, I knew Walt had came by - always having fun! He was always cheerful and when I needed to laugh, he was the guy to go to. He brought out the postive side of things. Walt was always laughing and sparking a chuckle in others. I will miss the times we would walk to get exercise while at work. He would often speak of Kate and  of her sporting events. He was truly a proud father. His great love for her was obvious. Kate, please do not ever forget that your Dad loves you very much and live each day postive and strong as he did. He will always be remembered at DOS. God Bless You Both.

Jennifer and Kate, I am so sorry for your loss.  Walt was more than just a coworker to me, we were great friends.  We shared many laughs, and he had the most infectious laugh that you couldn't help but laugh even more.  Walt was always a positive person, ready to help anyone at any time, and always with a smile. Walter Richter exemplified the kind of man I wish I could be. Kind, generous, helpful and positive. He was a good mentor for me at DOS and I have missed his smile and chuckle since I left. I will always remember and think of Walter as a friend, co-worker, father and husband. He is one of my heroes in life.

We are so shocked and saddened by the news.  Walter has been the best of neighbors and we can't believe he's gone.  Our hearts go out to Jennifer and Kate and the rest of Walter's family and friends.
