Laraine M. Bott

Laraine married Charles E. Bott on October 7, 1972, and they shared their lives together until Charles’s passing on February 3, 2009. Together they had one son, Edward P. Bott. In the late 1970s, Laraine made her home at 24 Lafayette Ave in Mastic, where she lived until October 2023, when she moved in with her son.

Laraine is also remembered as a loving mother-in-law to Meghan Bott and a devoted grandmother to her two grandsons, Aydin (23) and Dalton (21) Bott. She is survived as well by her brother, Denis Caldero, her only sibling.

A woman of steady faith and sincere devotion, Laraine was deeply committed to her church, Grace Lutheran in Mastic Beach, until the time she moved to be with her son. Her compassion found practical expression in her strong support for food pantries and in her conviction that those in need should be met with dignity and care. In the lives she touched through service and generosity, Laraine’s memory will be held with lasting respect and gratitude.
