

Born in Hico, WV, she was the daughter of Marvin and Gladys Hypes Sewell.
Ms. Hundley was of the Baptist faith, loved the card game setback, crocheting, cooking, preparing for “shindigs” as she called them, and most importantly, family gatherings.
Ms. Hundley was a friend to everyone she met and much respected member of the community. She had an infectious laugh that made you smile when you heard it. She was called “Mommaw” by many friends of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In Ms. Hudley’s many years, she was a CNA at Montgomery General Hospital, the proud owner of a feed store and a gas station, desk clerk at Hawk’s Nest Lodge, and most importantly, proud babysitter to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer; three daughters – Ellen Krise, Teresa Hundley, and Stephanie Hundley; two grandchildren – Kay Rose and Connie Rose; two sisters – Maxine Scarbro and Wanda Wooldridge; and one brother, Lanty Sewell.
Left to cherish her memory are her children – Kay Parks of Williamsburg, VA, Linda Shaffer of Scott Depot, Patty Bickford of Ansted and Allen (Lynn) Hundley of Reisterstown, MD; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Freda Sewell Hundley of Lapeer, MI; along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00P.M. Friday, January 17, 2025 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, WV. Celebration of Life will be 5:00P.M. until 7:00P.M. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the funeral home. Ms. Hundley will be laid to rest in Haynes Chapel Cemetery, Hico, WV following funeral services.
