Mr. Lonnie E Cody

Born in Fayetteville, he was the son of Samuel E. Cody and Alma Lawhorn Cody.

In Mr. Cody’s many years, he worked a variety of jobs including equipment operator, timberman, logging and farming. He enjoyed working and retired from the New River Ranch located at Beckwith, WV.

Mr. Cody loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was so proud of his beautiful gardens.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one child, William Frederick Cody; three brothers, three sisters, and one grandchild.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 75 years, Annie M. Cody; three children, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Our family wishes to thank each and every caregiver at his home by Amedisys Home Health and Hospice of Southern West Virginia, as well as the Bowers Hospice House.

As per Mr. Cody’s wishes, there will be no services and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. He will be interred in the Hall Family Cemetery on Pleasant View Road, Fayetteville, WV.
