A wonderful & beloved Husband, Daddy, Son, Brother, Tio, Nino & Friend passed away August 4, 2015 as a result of a tragic car accident. He was 31 years old. Adrian was born on September 29, 1983 to Irma & David Cervantes. Since he was a young boy, Adrian had a love for sports, especially basketball. He loved playing ball with "the crew" at the 5th street apartments. In addition to sports, Adrian loved music, underground hip hop ("real hip-hop") and as a teenager he began to DJ. This is the same time he made his mark as a B-boy and a great artist, things he will always be known for. Adrian graduated from Fillmore High School in 2001. It was in high school that he met the love of his life, Lisa. They were best friends and in 2009 they married. Their time together was spent going to concerts, Dodgers games, and spending time with friends and family. In 2011 their family grew; they had their first child, Ava, whom Adrian fell instantly in love with. Two years later he fell in love again when they had their son, Andrew. The love he had for his kids and his wife was evident by his smile when he would speak about them or be in their presence. He was his wife's biggest fan at her softball games. His family was what he worked so hard for to take care of them. They never needed or wanted for anything.
Adrian, there is a void in our lives that can never be replaced. There are so many memories that you gave us that we will always cherish. Going into your parents house saying "hi ma" "hi pa" always giving them a big hug & kiss. Being a good brother always making time for them. Talking about music & catching up on life, Walking into your in-laws house, hearing those key placed on the counter and hearing "hi suegra." Being greeted with your smile and "What up". "That's dope." Hearing you say "come to Nuni Iolo, come here Teddy Bear." Playing basketball with your nephews. Being their barber, even when you would have to beg them "Jake just let me cut your hair, Moe you need a hair cut." Waiting for the kids to fall asleep so you could enjoy you rocky road ice cream. Your gummy bears, boston baked beans, coca-cola. Having a tea party with Ava, playing ball with Andrew. Watching the fights at Fern's. Your hats, your adidas shoes, your crate with you art supplies, going to the breweries, your love of craft beer (weird beer) and your smile. You touched so many lives, and were loved by so many. So up beat, positive, honest and loving he was the true definition of what a husband, father and man should be. He was truly one in a million. Rest With Christ.
Adrian is survived by his wife Lisa and their children Ava and Andrew; Parents Irma & David Cervantes, Brothers David Jr. and Danny Cervantes; Abuelos Barajas; his in-laws Mary & Teddy Garcia, Selena & Frank Lopez, Steven & Erica Garcia and his niece and nephews Jillian, Jahkob, Joseph, Teddy & Isaiah.
