God gave me the privilege to know this wonderful soul. I met Ben through church and I grew to Love him like a son. My deepest prayers continue to go out to his family. Until we met again Ben Love you!

Ben was my best friend. We always said to each other that we'd be each other's best men at our weddings. The day after my wedding God decided to take him. I'll never understand why he took Ben, but it happened. 
I got to spend the last hours of his life by his side. Our last memory was full of joy and happiness. I loved him very much and I will never forget him. He was not only my best friend but also a brother to me. It was an honor having your friendship. I believe I'll never have a friend like you. I love you and miss you very much brother. I'll see you soon. Rest In Paradise.

I met Ben at church. I was not extremely close to him but every time I saw him play bass at church he sad a huge smile on his face. That is something that everyone will remember, his huge contagious smile. I pray that God continues to comfort his family. God needed that smile up there. You will be missed.

Ben was a really special person in my life. We had really good times that I will always cherish in my life. Wonderful kid, always happy, was really good at everything he did. Football, Musician, Starbucks, and a very loving son to his mom and loving brother. We will forever miss you Benny. I will never forget you always calling me "mom". I guess Benny had a lot of moms that cared for him. I love you Ben and thank you for letting me be part of your life. This is not a goodbye, but a see you later, my son.

 Ben it sucks to have just spoken to you a few days before you passed I still have that missed call from you I really wish I would have answerd I know your in a better place I miss you dearly I love you man look down on us all from time to time I promise to finish what we talked about I'll make sure of that take care my man

I had the privilege to know Ben for many years, what a beautiful soul he was. Always smiling and joking it was so contagious! There are too many good memories to write in 1 post so I'll just say "Until I see you again my friend" We love and miss you Ben!!

To Ben's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I only knew Ben for 2 years, and this was just being a regular customer at Starbucks. He always greeted me with a smile and said, "Hey my friend, how are you doing?" His smile was contagious, he certainly set me on a good mood for the rest of the day. Thank you to Ben's family for raising such a friendly, sweet person. He will truly be missed. After having a quick chat and picking up my coffee, Ben would always say, "See you later my friend." Well Ben, "I will see you later my friend."

I had the pleasure of growing up and going to school with Ben. We met in elementary school at San Cayatano. He was the nicest guy with an infectious smile, and he was always looking on the bright side of things. If I saw him and I was having a bad day he would change that by making me laugh, and feel better. Rest In Pease my friend. We love you, and miss you very much.

Dear Fernandez Family--
I am so sorry for the  loss of your beloved son, Ben (RIP). Ben was a wondeful young man & I was honored to meet him through my lovely niece Amanda. He was a  kind, considerate, thoughtful & caring young man with a beautiful soul. He will be sorely missed.

Derek & family I'm so sorry that your family is having to endure this tragic loss of your beloved Benjamin. He was an extraordinary young man,with a heart of gold! Always so polite and always with a smile. I love how he would greet me with a hug and a "Hi Mrs. Hope". Ben was loved and will be missed by many, which was evident on Saturday.
May your memories of Ben remain in your heart and may God comfort you and hold you close in the days and months to come. God Speed Ben, until we meet again <3 Mrs. Hope

I worked with Ben for a year at the Fillmore Starbucks. I was kind of the mom figure at the store. Ben was like my son. I used to call him baby boy. And he would always show that infectious smile, give me a big hug and say "how's it going mama dulce?" 
Thank you Ben for your beautiful smile....your big hugs....and for always calling me mama dulce. I know you are in the precious care of God now.  I miss you. You will always be my baby boy! 
To the family, my heart goes out to you. May you be covered in Gods grace and love during this time.

i barely met ben last year. i didnt know how old he was but i assumed he was about my age. now i know both of us were born in july 1993 & we got to know the same world. i'll really miss knowing him. he gave the word dreamer a new meaning. he had so much serenity. in a way he reminded me of how i feel about the world. i think it's beautiful & combined with knowing someone who's as mystical as you it's surreal.
