Anita Foster Lawhon, 57, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away peacefully on Sept. 19 after a six month illness. She is survived by her loving husband, Albert; mother, Helen Johnson of Ormond Beach, FL; father, William Johnson of Columbia, SC; daughter, Jessica Foster of Oakwood, GA; and grandson, Hunter Moose. Anita grew up as a "military brat", living all over the world and the USA. She lived in Germany, Taiwan, and Labrador, as well as GA, TX, SD, & ND. Her father was in the Air Force and after retiring the family moved to Lawrenceville, GA when she was a teenager. After marrying her first husband, Bob Foster, they lived in Flowery Branch, GA and had one child, Jessica. Eventually Anita and Bob moved to Palm Coast. After Bob passed away six years ago, she met and married Albert Lawhon, who flourished her with much love. Anita graduated from Berkmar High School in Georgia, worked as an Insurance Adjuster for 10 years, before going to Medical Transcription School, and worked in that vocation for 30 years until her passing. Anita always made friends easily and had many wherever she lived. She loved the outdoors camping, hiking, and fishing in the NE hills of Georgia with Bob, acquiring that trait early in her life from her adventurous mother and father. In Florida, she loved to hike and fish in the Bulow Creek and Princess Place areas. A Celebration of Life will occur in NE Georgia with family and friends in the near future.
