Bertha Beirne

Bertha “Bert” Beirne 78, of Palm Coast, passed away on August 13, 2019 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. She was born on July 27, 1941 in Orange, New Jersey to the late William and Lucille Scareon (Giordano). Bert earned her Associate’s Degree in the medical field and spent her working life as a medical secretary. She moved to the Palm Coast area in 1996. Bert enjoyed going to the movies and long drives. She was also a dedicated volunteer with ARC Flagler County where she also served as President. Bert was preceded in death by her husband, John Beirne in 1997; daughter, Christine Beirne. Survivors include her son, John (Danielle) Beirne, grandchild, Mackenna Beirne; significant other, Eric Christensen; adopted son, Joseph H. Meyers; sister, Joanne Tamburro as well as nieces and nephews. Donations in her memory may be made to ARC of Flagler County or The National Breast Cancer Foundation as she was a double mastectomy breast cancer survivor. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Cemetery.
