

She was born on February 2, 1931, in Surgidero de Batabanó, Cuba. As a young woman, she moved to Havana, Cuba, where she met and married the love of her life, Lorenzo Garcia. Together they raised their family and shared many happy years before emigrating to the United States in 1968. They settled in Miami, Florida, where they continued raising their young family and built a life filled with love, faith, and hard work.
Cuchita lived most of her life independently in Miami. As her health began to decline, she moved to Palm Coast three and a half years ago to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren she loved and adored so deeply.
She found great joy in fishing, traveling, and especially spending time with her family. Her happiest moments were those shared with her grandchildren, whose lives she touched with endless love, warmth, and devotion. Cuchita was also a devout Catholic woman whose faith guided her throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lorenzo Garcia, who passed away 35 years ago, as well as many cherished family members and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Maritza Garcia and her husband, Luis Diaz; son, Jesus Garcia; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Her family will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, on May 20, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A graveside service will take place at Memorial Plan at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, 6200 SW 77th Ave, Miami, Florida 33143, on May 21, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
