Her parents, a brother, Thomas E. Hoskins, four half-sisters, a half-brother, two beloved nieces, and a brother-in-law, Enoch Britt, preceded her in death. Cheryl is survived by two brothers, Donald Hoskins (Linda) of Palm Coast, FL, and Robert Hoskins (Barbara) of Panama City, FL; three sisters, Peggy Fallwell (Melvin) of Chesterfield, VA, Carol Stacy (Phil) of Palm Coast, FL, and Margaret Goins (Paul) of Toledo, Ohio; three half-sisters; one half-brother; and sister-in-law, Janice Hoskins of Palm Coast, FL. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, and long-time companion, Robert Matechick. Cheryl graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School and retired from working for the State of Florida as a park ranger, mainly at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park in the Hammock of Flagler County, for twenty-three years. Employees and volunteers there were family to Cheryl. She enjoyed working outside alongside her coworkers and developed extensive knowledge of the various plants and trees in the gardens as well as ocean life. Cheryl will be greatly missed by her many friends and loving family with whom she enjoyed spending her time. She was very talented and creative, especially in gift selection, floral arrangements, and decorating. Her favorite past times included spending time with her cat, being near the ocean, and reading. Online condolences may be made at www.craigflaglerpalms.com. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018, 6:00pm at Washington Oaks Garden State Park. We will meet near the gift shop. Appetizers and cookies will be served on arrival, followed by speakers and those wishing to share memories, dedication of a living tree, and scattering of ashes.
