Choeun Chea, 70, of Palm Coast, FL passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Chea was born in Cambodia on March 1, 1951. A retired electronics technician, he enjoyed nature walks, creating and editing videos, and traveling. In his retirement, he achieved his lifelong goal of publishing a book about the suffering that he and his family endured during the horrors of the Killing Fields in Cambodia. It is a book of survival and hope amidst the despair. God allowed the bad things to happen but Choeun's life was also blessed with the joy that his wife, children, and grandchildren brought him. It told of a life worth living. A dedicated missionary, he was a true man of faith, reading his bible and preaching the gospel. He made several mission trips to Cambodia to spread the word of God. He is survived by his loving wife Phan Sim, two children Top Chea, and Girly Phan and her husband Huy Phan, two grandchildren, Isla and Mia, and one sister Phan Chea. He was preceded in death by another sister, Phon and two brothers, Chim and Chan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach. Burial will follow in Flagler Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
