Christ Trizis, 76, was born in New York City on November 1, 1947. He grew up and lived in Astoria Queens, New York. He married Marlene Clingempeel on May 20, 1972. He lived in Astoria across from Astoria Park until 1989 when he moved to Palm Coast, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cornelius Trizis, mother, Zena Comis, and his sister, Aphrodite Harris. He is survived by Matthew Trizis (Heather), two grandchildren, Christian and Noah who were the light of his life.
He served in the Air Force and was a disabled vet. He loved Boy Scouting and served in many positions from Assistant Scoutmaster to District Commissioner for Flagler County. He loved Disney, NASCAR, and woodcarving. When he wasn’t able to go to Disney World or do woodcarving he enjoyed watching others on YouTube.
His family was with him when he passed on February 3, 2024 in Ormond Beach, Florida. He is now at peace. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30AM, Friday, February 16th, at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, Flagler Beach, FL. Inurnment with military honors will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 2:00PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
