Claire E. Lipowski of Ormond Beach, 82, passed away on Tuesday, April 16 at home with her family by her side. She is survived by Gerald, her devoted husband of 57 years, three loving daughters: Lisa and husband Scott Posey of State College, PA, Christine and husband William Restmeyer of McKinney, TX and Suzanne and husband Daniel Restmeyer of Moorpark, CA, and her cherished grandchildren: Nicole, Eric, Kyle, Lindsay, Grant and Emily. She also leaves behind her dear sister Carolyn Monte of Sea Girt, NJ.
Born in Garfield, NJ, Claire was the daughter of John and Katherine (Cervetto) Piccoli. She grew up in Elmwood Park, NJ, attended Lodi High School and graduated from Jersey City Medical Center School of Nursing (class of 1957). Claire worked in various facets of nursing with hospice being the most rewarding. She was a member of St. Anne’s Church Choir in Fair Lawn, NJ. After retiring, Claire and her husband moved to Ormond Beach, FL. She enjoyed reading, volunteering, spending time with her family and was a member of the Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club.
A celebration of her life will be held this summer in Sea Girt, NJ.
