Daniel Joseph Faust passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, March 22nd. Danny was born on July 10th, 1949 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Wilbert and Florence Faust. Danny was a loving husband, father and loyal friend. He was an amazing high school athlete golfer and an avid hunter and fisherman. He joined the United States Navy when he graduated high school and served his country during the Vietnam War. While enlisted he met the love of his life Louise and they welcomed their greatest joy and accomplishment into the world, their son Dave.
After serving in the Navy, Danny started his career driving tractor trailers for the United States Postal Service. Whenever he and Louise could, they loved traveling in their camper with their dachshunds Daisy and Pansy, their favorite destination was Wells Beach, Maine which held a special place in his heart. Danny was a man of faith and a devout follower of Christ. He enjoyed traveling as a Missionary and sharing the word of God with anyone that was ready to hear him. Danny and his wife Louise were especially active in their church and enjoyed spending time with special needs groups. When Danny wasn’t traveling, he and his son Dave spent their days woodworking in the garage or just sitting together and discussing what they might build next. Danny and his daughter in law Janice shared a special relationship, he always knew she could take care of any problem he encountered and she always knew he would never let her forget something she said or did that made him laugh. When visiting Danny at home, you could always find the golf channel on in the background, and he would share every detail about the veteran players and the kids trying to make the cut. Danny always had a joke to share or a story to tell. These inside jokes and laughs will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Danny is survived my his loving wife Louise, his son Dave and his wife Janice, two sisters, Margaret and Patricia, many cousins and his “Grandsons”, Chad, Coty, Cole and Case, extended family members and numerous dear friends. He will be greatly missed by all that has the honor of knowing him.
A graveside service will be held at Flagler Memorial Gardens on April 5th at 10:00am. A private memorial service will be held in Danny’s honor with close friends and family at a future date.
