Dawn E. Sargent

Dawn was born in Beloit, Wisconsin to George and Lorraine Whaley. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1967. She spent many years as a stay-at-home Mom, and then worked at Beloit Corporation and Valmet/Metso over the years.

Dawn enjoyed reading and volunteering. She volunteered throughout her life for the Beloit Junior Women's Club, Meals on Wheels, the Police Department, and any other volunteer opportunities she could find. She also sponsored kids overseas for many years.

She will be remembered for taking care of others, always being kind to everyone, never meeting a stranger, and making people laugh, and feel supported and loved.

She is survived by her loving husband David Sargent, their children, Deanna Sargent McCoy, Deborah (Leonard) Jones, and Daniel Sargent; Sister Nancy (Sister Mary DePaul); Sister-in-Law Barb Whaley and Sue Osmond; Brother-in-Law, Gary Osmond; Nieces and Nephews, Alayne Avery, Paul Whaley, Lucas Osmond and Sarah Niebuhr; Grandchildren, Jordyn (Eric) Bucsi, Ashlyn (Brandon) Morrow, Camryn McCoy, Robbie McCoy, Brianna Dawn, Isaiah Jones and Leah Jones; Great Grandchildren, Chloe, and Colby Morrow, and many, many friends.

She is preceded in death by her Parents; In-Laws; Brother George; and Niece, Becky Osmond.

In lieu of flowers, Dawn asked for donations to St. Jude's Research Hospital for Children or Florida United Methodist Children's Home.
