Donald Joseph Boss Sr.

Donald "Don" Joseph Boss Sr., age 78, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. He was born on March 24, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Howard William and Luella Catherine (Mitchell) Boss.

A proud graduate of Louisville Male High School in 1964, Don went on serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968. After his military service, Don worked for many years at Naval Ordinance in Louisville, Kentucky, before transitioning to a career as a network engineer at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He retired on October 31, 2012, after dedicating several years to his work in the field.

In 2019, Don and his beloved wife, Kara, made Palm Coast, Florida their home. Don enjoyed many hobbies, but none more than golfing, where he achieved the ultimate golfer's dream of a hole-in-one. He was also an avid fan of basketball, especially the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

Don will be deeply missed by his wife of 29 years, Kara; his sons, Donald "Joe' Boss Jr. and his wife Karen, and their daughter Adria; Dr. Jeffrey "Jeff" William Boss and his wife Angie, and their children, Owen, Sylvia, and Evan; and his son Jeremy Howard Boss. He is also survived by his siblings, Betty Lewellen, Howard "Bill" William Boss Jr. and his wife Kay, Janice Thurman and her husband Don, and Lanny Boss. He will also be missed by his sassy miniature-schnauzer, Lexi, who knew she could always rely on him for a treat and many pets.

In honor of Don's memory, the family asks that donations be made to the Flagler Humane Society.

A visitation for Donald will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Craig-Flagler Palms, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment following the service at Flagler Memorial Gardens.
