Donald “Don” Frank Major Sr., 85, of Palm Coast, FL passed away on January 28, 2021 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. He was born on September 19, 1935 in Washington, D.C., to the late William Louis Major and Malvern Virginia Fuller. Don served in the United States Army where he was honorably discharged as a disabled veteran. He loved being outdoors tending to his garden or woodworking in his shop. Don was passionate about helping his fellow service man by being a member of the Disabled American Vets (DAV) Chapter 86 where he served as a past Commander and was a Service Officer at the Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic. Don was also a faithful member of St. Mark by the Sea Lutheran Church in Palm Coast. He will always be remembered as a Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. Don was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Graham. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Beverly “Bev”; children, Vianne M. Major, Donald F. Major Jr., Sean Major and his wife Mary DiNardi; grandchildren, Megan M. Sloat, Jimmy Major, Tyler Major, Justin Thomas; sisters, Katherine Perkins, Karen Poe, Nancy Jack, Carol Major; step-brother, George Fuller and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Last but certainly not least his beloved dog “favorite child” Judy.
