Dr. Troya practiced medicine in New England and trained future surgeons at Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary. In his fifties he started running and soon qualified for the Boston Marathon, which he completed four times. Upon retirement, he relocated to the sunny shores of North Myrtle Beach, where he clocked countless more miles and learned to play golf. He spent his final years swimming, biking, golfing, traveling, and enjoying sunsets with his beloved wife in Palm Coast.
Dr. Troya leaves behind his wife, Evelyn Montas-Troya, his children Isabelle, Natalie, Yvonne and Ramon, and his grandchildren Alexis, Max, Nate, Vivienne, and Ben. He will be sorely missed.
