Born on June 7, 1956, in Trenton, New Jersey, Gregg was the son of the late William and Dorothy Ann Hunt. He graduated from Ewing High School in 1974. In 1981, while working at Harrah’s Casino, he met the love of his life, Donna Iannettoni. They were married on April 3, 1982, and went on to raise their three sons in Marlton, New Jersey.
A skilled Master Electrician and entrepreneur, Gregg owned and operated D.J.H Electric for many years until health challenges led him to retire. In June of 2025, Gregg and Donna relocated to Palm Coast, Florida, to begin a new chapter together.
Gregg was known for his craftsmanship—he created the most beautiful lighting in every home he lived in. From lighting up decks to backyard steps, inside and out it was always a masterpiece. He took pride in building things with his hands, from decks to gazebos. His sense of humor, often laced with a touch of sarcasm, was one of his most endearing qualities, and it brought joy to those around him.
His passing was sudden and has left his family heartbroken and in shock.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Hunt.
Gregg is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Donna Hunt; his three sons: Sean (Ashley) Hunt, Matthew (Amanda Bonafede) Hunt, and Gregory (Madison) Hunt; his cherished grandchildren, Sofia and Hayden Hunt; and his brother, Bill Hunt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gregg’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
