James “Jim” Michael Barilka 61, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 18, 2020 at his home. He was born on May 19, 1959 in Highland Park, Michigan. After High School, he joined the United States Air Force and served 5 years. Once he was honorably discharged, he attended school for Electronics. He worked for several electronic door companies including: Door Control Industries, Stanley, and Dormakaba. Jim enjoyed spending his free time staying fit by going to the gym, roller skating, waterskiing, and riding his motorcycle; but the greatest love in his life was spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Louis Barilka. Survivors include his beloved wife of 19 years, Carol “Mappy”; his children, Justin and Fabiola Roberts, Christopher Barilka and Anna Arana, Aaron Barilka and Christina Arana, Marcus Roberts, and Aaliyah Roberge; his grandchildren, Isaac Russell, Keagan Russell, Rylee Roberts, Ava Barilka, Henli Roberts, Talia Barilka, Lucas and Logan Harmon; his mother, Deanna Louise Barilka; siblings, Kenneth Barilka, David Barilka, Suzie Bareis, Cheri Wackro and many more loving nieces, nephews, relatives and wonderful friends.
