

Jeff Wachsmuth, 68, of Palm Coast was born on March 21, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Adolph Albert and Florence Kathryn Wachsmuth (Ehinger). He served in the United States Navy for three years as a photographer. Jeff worked for Philadelphia Electric as a lineman for 10 years and then went to work for Allstate Insurance as a salesman. He retired when he was 56 years old. Jeff and Dor lived in Warminster, PA from 1971 until 1992 when they built their dream home and moved to Harleysville, PA. In 2005 they moved to Palm Coast where Jeff enjoyed his retirement life. He played golf, fished and loved to be outdoors working in his garden. Jeff enjoyed following national politics, sports, finances and Wednesday night happy hours. He loved three things that his wife did not, Doo-Wop, Hot Dogs and Manhattans. Above all, he loved his wife and family the most. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Dor Wachsmuth; daughters, Lori Wachsmuth and the love of her life Don Grimm; Karen Wachsmuth and the love of her life Michael Hanke and their son, Mattias; Amy (Jason) Smiley and their children, Lorelai and Beau; brother, Gary Wachsmuth; sister, Debbie Davies; sister-in-law, Terry Meyer; and brother-in-law, James McAlister, his wonderful “cousin” family and many loving nieces, nephews and close friends. VE is a German Social and Sports Club where Jeff and his family enjoyed making memories for many years.
