Michael G. Morello Jr.

Memorial services celebrating the life of Michael G. Morello Jr, 80 of Ormond Beach FL will be held on Friday January 24 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 PM until the time of services. Mr. Morello passed away under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice on Thursday, January 16, 2020. He was born on November 20, 1939 the son of the late Michael G. and Armenia Vitacca Morello Sr. He was a former police officer in NYC and was founder of Mike Morello Inc., a leading local air conditioning and heating contractor in the Flagler/Volusia area, which he started with his children. He was a member and former president of the Flagler County Rotary Club, a former president and member of the Flagler County Homebuilders Association where he was instrumental in establishing the Flagler Home show, and a former member of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed golfing, watching sports, especially the NY Yankees, and swimming, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. His proudest moments were his marriage to Joanne, the birth of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their achievements brought him great personal and business satisfaction. He is survived by the love of his life for 61 years, his wife Josephine (Joanne) one son, Michael F. Morello and his wife Mia of Flagler Beach, three daughters, Barbara McKeever and her husband Doug of The Villages FL, Donna Sheffield and her husband Gary of Flagler Beach and Denice Beighle and her husband Larry of Flagler Beach, nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Deann, Jessica, Jordan, Christy, Stephanie, Joel, Michael, and Jason, and sixteen great grandchildren, Adelynn, Brooklyn, Dylan, Madison, Dario, Chase, Michael Leo, Conner, Kyle, Asher, Levi, Liam, Luca, Jett, Easton and Liliana Grace. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests as a living tribute to Michael G. Morello Jr., Contributions be make to Flagler County Education Foundation, for the Michael G.
