

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Normand C. Lajoie, 92, of Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Worcester, MA. Normand passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at Halifax Hospice in Ormond Beach, FL.
Born in Worcester, MA, on July 3, 1932, Normand was the son of the late Origene and Octavie (Boisvert) Lajoie. A proud graduate of Worcester Boys Trade High School, Normand served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He went on to build a successful 37-year career as a machinist with Cincinnati Milacron Heald Machine Company and Wyman-Gordon, before retiring at age 55. Never one to sit idle, he continued working through his own business until fully retiring at 62.
In 2001, Normand made his home in Winter Haven, Florida, where he enjoyed many happy years traveling and spending time with his dear friend, Monique Gadbois of St. Hyacinthe, Quebec. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to family, and the deep friendships he nurtured throughout his life.
Normand was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Kubert) Lajoie; the mother of his children, Marjorie A. (Havey) Lajoie McTigue; his brothers, Roland, Paul, Ernest, and Gerald; and his sister, Madeline.
He leaves behind a loving family who will carry on his legacy. He is survived by his children: Lawrence P. Lajoie and his wife Laurey of Palm Coast, FL; Wayne F. Lajoie of Imler, PA; Thomas M. Lajoie and his wife Elaine of Palm Coast, FL; Steven P. Lajoie and his wife Maria of Webster, MA; and Michele L. Moran and her husband Steven A. Moran of Thompson, CT.
He also leaves his stepchildren: Janine Shivley of Wildwood, FL; Richard Kubert and his wife Cindy of Auburn, MA; Susan Bergeron of Auburn, MA; Christine Davis and her husband Ronald of Leicester, MA; and Julie Sargentelli and her husband John of Rochdale, MA.
In addition to his children and stepchildren, Normand is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched deeply.
In accordance with his wishes, Normand was cremated. A private burial will be held at a later date at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester, MA.
