

Thomas J. Corum 86 of Palm Coast, passed away on Thursday, May 24. 2018 in the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. He was born on May 24, 1931 in Dayton OH the son of the late Willie Johnson Corum and Bill Corum. He lived most of his childhood life in Louisville KY, traveled with his father who worked for Western Electric before going back to Louisville to complete his education. Mr. Corum graduated from the University of Louisville and Western Kentucky University earning his degree in law. He served in the US Army. Upon discharge, he married Cora ((Davenport) Corum and practiced law a short while in Kentucky before going to work for Colgate Palmolive Company in New York City as Chief Trademark and Copyright Counsel and Associate General Counsel. Tom traveled Europe extensively for Colgate. He retired in 1991 and moved to Palm Coast in 1992. Tom married Zita (McNulty Seymour) Corum in 2007. He was a trustee of the Palm Coast Foundation for the Arts and was very active in the group. Mr. Corum was a member of the Grand Haven Men’s Golf Association and was on the Grand Haven Board of Governors, a member of the Matanzas Men’s Golf Association, a member of the Cypress Men’s Golf Association and a member of the American Bar Association. A celebration of Tom’s life and legacy will be held on Friday, June 8 at 11:30 AM at the Grand Haven Golf Club, 500 Riverfront Drive, Palm Coast.
