Veronica June Roberts passed away peacefully on November 12, 2018 at the age of 83. She was the first child born to Thelma and Joseph Heaps in Toronto, Canada on June 21, 1935. Full of spirit and purpose, she selflessly dedicated her life to caring for her family and friends. June enjoyed creating beautiful works of stained glass art, travelling, cooking, and raising her family of four children, and was also the Secretary and Treasurer for the Matanzas Shores Women’s Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bob, and two sisters, Joan and Janice. June is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Arthur Roberts, her four children (Arthur Paul Roberts (Sarah), Susan Frey (Dan), David Roberts (Brenda) and Andrew Roberts), eight grandchildren (Vince, Julie, Zachary, Arthur James, Austin, Zane, Virginia and Brian), two great-grandchildren (Vinnie and Dominic), three sisters (Mary, Lila and Nancy), nine brothers (Fred, Bill, Leo, Bert, Doug, Allan, Mike, Pat and Donnie), several nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends. Her remains will be cremated and a celebration of life event will be held at a later date.
