

MILLER, Charles W. – Age 79,of Flint, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Brian’s House in Davison. Mr. Miller was born January 9, 1931 in Flint the son of John and Jessie (Kolby) Miller. In 1949 Charles graduated from Hoover High School and is a member of the Carman-Ainsworth Hall of Fame for Football and Basketball. He worked as a Pipe Fitter for Buick Motor Company for 44 ½ years retiring in February 1994 and was a member of U.A.W. Local 599. Charles was a founding member of the Harmony Notes Band for 38 years where he played piano and sang. He was a member of the Flint Federation of Musicians. Charles was an avid softball player and bowler, playing softball until he was 75 years old. He was a member of Dom Polski, Croatian Club and Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife Donna Jane Miller, sons, Charles W. Miller Jr., Tony (Cindi) Miller, Scott (Jacalyn) Miller, Jon (Laurie) Miller, Chris (Monica) Miller, Tom (Ronda) Miller, grandchildren, Sherrie, Susan, Toni Rae, Toni Marie, Jon Paul, Charles, Sadie, Bryan, Alex Raheem, 6 great grandchildren, brother, John (Phyllis) Miller. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents John and Jessie Miller and sister, Barb. Friends may visit the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Reigle Funeral Home Sunset Chapel. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
