LAFAVE, Donald John – age 81 of Flint, MI went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 15, 2015 surrounded by his family. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 11:00AM All Saints Catholic Church – 4063 W. Pierson Rd. Flint, MI. with one hour of visitation prior beginning at 10:00AM. Father Robert Kolenski celebrant. Burial will take place at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Donald was born in Flint, MI on April 30, 1934, the son of Roddie and Laura (Sawyer) LaFave. He was a painter by trade for LaFave Decorators. Donald was an artist and loved animals. He enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Most of all, Donald loved his family. He is survived by his sister, Velma (Frank) Ratza; very special companion of 28 years, Jean Truchan; sister-in-law, Joan LaFave; and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Richard LaFave and Rod LaFave.
