Mary Esther (Foley, Mosier) Hilliker went to meet her Lord face-to-face on Monday, February 20, 2017. The world was blessed with her arrival on November 10, 1936, and we were all blessed with her presence, quiet and gentle spirit, and generous love and gifts until her peaceful departure. Mary enjoyed the companionship and gave herself to the care of both her parents, both sisters, and both husbands until they preceded her to eternity. She also gracefully managed the sudden passing of a son , William (“Skip”) in 1996, without reduction in her investment and affection for her seven other “children” (Gregory, Jenny, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Beverly, Julia, and Andrew), their spouses, thirteen grandchildren and spouses, and thirteen great-grandchildren. A celebratory service in her loving memory and deeply grounded faith is scheduled for 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 25, at Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene (7168 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek, MI). Pastor James Schultz, one of her many “adopted” and beloved sons, will officiate, and members of the family will be at the church at 11:00 a.m. to share time, tears, and tales with guests and loved ones.
