Norman Jay Slinglend

Norman was an avid sports fan. He loved cheering on his beloved Lions, University of Michigan Football, and the Detroit Tigers Baseball team. In his free time, he also enjoyed going to good movies, attending concerts, and partaking in the annual Thrush/Slinglend fishing trips to Central Lake. Above all else though, Norman adored spending time with his family and friends and celebrating his faith every Sunday. Norman will be greatly missed by those he loved and cherished.

Norman is survived by his loving wife, Ann; daughter, Paula (fiance, Nic Cunningham); brothers: Gary (Pam) and Lloyd (Sharon); brother-in-law, Earl; sisters-in-law: Gloria (Dan) and Nancy; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia (Leon); brother, Dale; and nephews: Doug and Jeff.

A visitation for Norman will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Reigle Funeral Home/Sunset Chapel, 5501 W Pierson Rd, Flushing, Michigan 48433. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 12:00 PM with a one hour visitation prior at Reigle Funeral Home/Sunset Chapel.
